Beaches

Chrystal clear water, sandy shores, wild beaches, water sports, or fabulous beach bars! There is a perfect spot for everyone. Here are just a few suggestions:

Fourka beach

Fourka beach is more than two kilometers long, sandy and shallow, perfect for families. You can chose whether you want to chill at a beach bar, or bring your own umbrella and relax at a quiet spot. The closest bars are Zattero and Babe Watch. The umbrellas and sunbeds are free if you order a drink.

Possidi

One of the most impressive beaches in Halkidiki! Words are simply unnecessary... Most of it is wild so make sure you have a shade and water with you.

Aigiopelagitika

When the sea is calm you can actually walk from Fourka beach to Agiopelagitika from the SouthEast point of Fourka, left from the beach bar Zattero. Again long and sandy, with private spots as well as beach bars.

Mendi

One of our favourite beaches, Mendi. You can chose to use the facilities of hotel Mendi for free by ordering a drink. Their seawater swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees is a perfect choice for children!

The beach is huge so you can always find a relaxing spot just for you!

Places to visit

Skala Fourkas

In Skala Fourkas you will find all the supplies needed, such as a big super market, meat and fish markets, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables. We suggest you buy fresh fruit and veg from smaller shops, since they purchase their products directly from local farmers.

If you decide to eat out, there are a couple of choices perfect for the occasion. Fresh seafood and delicious Greek dishes are always on the menu! 'Thalassa' restaurant is the ideal place to try modern Greek cuisine by the sea. 'Mairi's' is great for fast food especially the famous Greek gyros!

Kalandra

A picturesque traditional village..

The main square by the church of the Holy Mother has a little fountain and a lovely Greek cafe. Perfect for a visit after the beach especially if you have kids since they can play safely at the square. Chose to order a little ouzo with a yummy Greek meze, or if you are more hungry a platter of delicious grilled local meat.

Nea Skioni

A traditional fishing village.

You can have a walk at the little port and buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats, usually in the afternoon, or sit at a local tavern and have fried anchovies, home made french fries and a frozen beer!

Agia Paraskevi

Are you in a mood for a rejuvenating spa experience? The hot springs of Avia Paraskevi are the perfect choice. The water is not too hot and it's full of elements that will relax you and make you feel great! There is also a small beach under the spa, where the sea is mixed with the mineral water.

Afytos

You should definitely visit Afytos! It's the most preserved village in terms of architecture. You can have a day trip combining some time at the beach and then have a walk in the village for souvenir shopping and dining.

Kassandria

Kassandria is the main village of the peninsula of Kassandra. Every Tuesday there is a huge open market, where you can find Greek herbs, honey, wine, fresh fish, fruit and veg and tons of other things such as clothes, shoes, accessories etc. Small tip: chose to go as early as possible since it can get really hot! Also if you buy fish, kindly ask to have it cleaned. They will do it for free!

Longer trips could include the Petralona cave, a day trip to Thessaloniki, or a little road trip to the second "finger" of Chalkidiki, Sithonia.
